Community Impact

With the help of grants and generous benefactors over the last couple of years, Rocco’s Voice for Autism was able to :

  • Support local sports clubs and provide children with disabilities sports programs.

  • Reward high school students with scholarships to explore the Special Education field and provide scholarships to students with special needs who transition into the workforce.

  • Build the first ever Inclusive Playground in the area for children with disabilities with the help of The Town of Oyster Bay

This year alone, Rocco’s Voice for Autism has:

  • Donated and installed sensory equipment and 15 communication boards across The Town of Oyster Bay parks to provide children with autism opportunities to interact with their peers.

  • Provided students in school districts across Long Island $10,000 in special education scholarships

  • Donated school supplies for special education students in low income school districts in the surrounding area.

Our goals for this upcoming year include:

  • Continuing to install communication boards in public parks, play areas, school districts and designated sensory spaces across Long Island.

  • Continuing to provide academic scholarships for high school students as we expand our reach into surrounding school districts.

  • Most importantly, continue to provide children with disabilities opportunities beyond classrooms and academic settings.
