Community Impact
With the help of grants and generous benefactors over the last couple of years, Rocco’s Voice for Autism was able to :
Support local sports clubs and provide children with disabilities sports programs.
Reward high school students with scholarships to explore the Special Education field and provide scholarships to students with special needs who transition into the workforce.
Build the first ever Inclusive Playground in the area for children with disabilities with the help of The Town of Oyster Bay
This year alone, Rocco’s Voice for Autism has:
Donated and installed sensory equipment and 15 communication boards across The Town of Oyster Bay parks to provide children with autism opportunities to interact with their peers.
Provided students in school districts across Long Island $10,000 in special education scholarships
Donated school supplies for special education students in low income school districts in the surrounding area.
Our goals for this upcoming year include:
Continuing to install communication boards in public parks, play areas, school districts and designated sensory spaces across Long Island.
Continuing to provide academic scholarships for high school students as we expand our reach into surrounding school districts.
Most importantly, continue to provide children with disabilities opportunities beyond classrooms and academic settings.
